Technical Seminar: Green Sense® Concrete Technology
David Bowerman, Tuesday 18th, 12.00, Dubai C (Show Floor)
BASF Admixtures expert will talk about Green Sense® Concrete Technology at the International Concrete Technical Forum. This service package from BASF helps manufacturers improve the performance characteristics of concrete such as resilience, workability, durability and its impact on the environment. It comprises three components: the optimization of the concrete mix design by BASF experts, the use of hyperplasticizers from BASF such as MasterGlenium®, and an eco-efficiency analysis of the concrete mix. The analysis serves to ascertain economic and ecological performance criteria of the concrete in comparison to traditional concrete mix designs.
Workshop: Innovative Floor Zone Advancements – cement based solutions for early return to service
S. Arbuckle, Tuesday 18th, 17.00-18.00, Sharjah D (Mezzanine Level)
BASF's 'Innovative Floor Zone Advancements - cement based solutions for early return to service' CPD, takes a closer look at origins of floor finish failures that emanate from well below the floor surface in the concrete base itself. After identifying and repairing the root cause of the failure, the priority moves on to selecting the most appropriate compatible system solution to get the condemned area back into service as quickly as possible, whilst reducing the risk of similar failures re-occurring. This system will be later demonstrated by the Technical Services team.
Live Demonstration: Technical Services Team
S. Arbuckle & D. Spindler, Thursday 20th, 12.00, Live Product Demonstrations Theatre
The Technical Services Team from BASF Construction Chemicals (the largest team of the kind in the region) will demonstrate a system build up including all stages from concrete repair to tile fixing. This dynamic activity will help the audience understand the valuable support from the Technical Services Department and the performance and quality of the products involved: MasterProtect® 8000CI (advanced organo functional silane based corrosion inhibitor); MasterEmaco® S 466 (shrinkage compensated free flowing concrete repair mortar); MasterTop® 548 (pre-batched, rapid setting floor screed); MasterTop 528 (highly flowable, self levelling screed); and MasterTile® FLX 24 (deformable, multi purpose tile adhesive).
